Anders not only likes to go grocery shopping but also loves to put groceries away. Every time when we are at supermarkets, he always says, ” 這個好, 這個好, 媽咪買這個! ” (This one is good. Mommy, buy this one!) or ” 媽咪, 這是什麼來的呀? ” (Mommy, what is this?) I hope he can still be so helpful when he grows older.
Arden is 7 months old and she’s 90% at her height and 80% at her weight. I guess she got Daddy’s genes. Unlike her poor brother who has always been at the bottom 20%, I didn’t have to force her to eat; she just grew.
Arden started baby foods at 6 months old. She ate everything though she didn’t like pea and apple at the beginning. She would stick her tongue out for the next bite; she also reached out her two arms for you when you showed that you were going to hold her up; she often jumped up and down when you held her.
She talked a lot when she was young but I haven’t heard much of her voices for the past two months. To a point I started to worry. Guess what?! She started talking again last week and now she talked a lot! Just like her brother, the “da.. da..” come first.
She loved to play or just be around with Anders despite that Anders would bite her out of the blue sometimes.
And see, she’s now big enough to swing herself. Look!
I got an invitation from my graduate schoolmates for a late summer BBQ last month and my college schoolmates also organized a reunion lunch last week in Taiwan. Is now a season for reunions?
It’s always nice to see some familiar faces especially those from schools. I don’t know what I was busy for but there were just always something or some fires waiting for you to put off. Somehow finding time to meet old friends becomes so hard.
Too bad that I can’t make it back to Taiwan with such a short notice. Thanks to Anthony, our class head for Freshman year, for organizing and taking the videos so at least I can soak myself in the happy memories in NCU (National Central University) through the pictures and video.
Luckily I was able to see these familiar faces from Polytechnic University again. Thanks to Anthony (yes, another Anthony:) ) to invite us for a late summer BBQ last month.
I missed those days in NYC!
Lulu, Xiang-yang's wife, who always has a big warm smile
The train park at Anthony's home
Yummy cold noodles from Amy and sushi from Xiang-yang
Xiang-yang, who always has a positive and optimistic attitude, and his nice older daughter, who guard Anders in the ball games
Hank and Amy with their two boys in the background
Xiang-yang (right) and Anthony (left), whom I took my first flight to US with 13 years ago
Thanks to Reene, Anthony's wife, for the yummy chicken wings
Anders also seemed to have lots of fun. This was the first time he was in a new environment with a bunch of new friends and he wasn’t shy at all. I guess he’s out grown his clinginess a few months ago.
