Scarecrow and Ghost
It was a really hot day yesterday. The temperature reached 100 degree. We decided to go out to the mall to get some air conditioning. Halloween is close so there was a big custom store in the Mowry Mall. Anders was scared by a scarecrow next to Santa Ramen a couple weeks ago and now he was afraid of all the “ghosts” in the store again. Last night, we “leveraged” his fear of the ghosts to ask him finishing his milk before going to bed. He was very tired and sleepy today. The arms of his holding the bottle went lower and lower with his eyes already closed but he didn’t want to give up the bottle. As long as we pulled the bottle out of his mouth, he cried to ask for finishing it. Guess what!? He was worried that the ghost would...

Nimitz Way Hike with Big Aunt
Christine and I biked this easy Berkeley trail a long time ago. Big aunt and I walked it yesterday. I believe this is the best time for hikes as the hills of east bay are green from the rain. It also happened to be frog mating season, and every pool we passed brimmed with loud croaks and crys. Some photos we took along the way:
Driving from California to Laredo
We went to visit my father in Laredo, Texas late last year. In total, we drove around 2,386 miles and average 45 miles per gallon. Here is the map of our southwest adventure. View Larger Map My father needed a car, and I volunteered the Prius to him. I could not imagine him without a vehicle getting to the business school in the hot Texas sun. This was our first trip without Anders, and we rushed through many large southwest cities. I was also experimenting with a startup idea involving mobile camera phones, so all of these photos are shot on Christine’s Blackberry...

Anders Is 5 Months Old!
Whew… Finally Little Anders got over the jet lag of traveling from Taiwan back home. He’s the happy piggy again. He’s so choppy these days that Harrison always calls him “little meatball.” Harrison and I are blessed that Anders is adapting traveling quite well so far. We’ve taken him to Vancouver at the end of his 2nd month with Uncle Peter and Auntie Lucy, LA at the 3rd to meet my high school friend, Mandy, her fiance Will, and of course our dear friend Andy, and Taiwan at the 4th month to see the Hung and Pu families for the first time. Other than struggling with jet lag both in Taiwan and US, he’s been such an angel to travel with. Well, at least I am not yet scared away from taking him to another trip in the...
