Hills of Hayward

I got an invitation from my graduate schoolmates for a late summer BBQ last month and my college schoolmates also organized a reunion lunch last week in Taiwan.  Is now a season for reunions?

It’s always nice to see some familiar faces especially those from schools. I don’t know what I was busy for but there were just always something or some fires waiting for you to put off. Somehow finding time to meet old friends becomes so hard.

Too bad that I can’t make it back to Taiwan with such a short notice.  Thanks to Anthony, our class head for Freshman year, for organizing and taking the videos so at least I can soak myself in the happy memories in NCU (National Central University) through the pictures and video.

Luckily I was able to see these familiar faces from Polytechnic University again.  Thanks to Anthony (yes, another Anthony:) ) to invite us for a late summer BBQ last month.

I missed those days in NYC!

Anders also seemed to have lots of fun. This was the first time he was in a new environment with a bunch of new friends and he wasn’t shy at all. I guess he’s out grown his clinginess a few months ago.

This post has been sitting in the draft folder for 2 months since I forgot to post it.

Anders is not very coordinated in general; and here is some video to share Anders’ development when he was 23 months old.

It was only two months ago but he looks very different now. Kids grow fast!

這個週末我大妹, 文文, 一家到加州來玩, 我們在一家法國外賣餐廳Gregoire吃完午餐後, 優哉地往車子走去. 寶寶牽著媽咪的手, 一直嚷嚷著, “媽咪抱抱! 媽咪抱抱! 寶寶要媽咪抱抱.” 媽咪從小就訓練寶寶自己走路, 聽到寶寶一直這麼吵著, 就很有耐心地問寶寶, “為什麼要媽咪抱抱呢?”

寶寶想了好一會兒, 終於很清楚地說道, “寶寶不喜歡走路, 寶寶要媽咪抱抱!”

沒人教他呀! 真不知道他怎麼想出來的.

My sister’s, Michelle, arrived at Oakland airport yesterday for a short vacation. After we finished lunch at Gregoire, we walked to our car. The car was parked a little far and Anders kept asking me to hold him on the way. I resisted and asked him many times, “why do you want mommy to carry you?”

You know what?!

He paused and answered, “Mommy! I want mommy to carry me because I don’t like to walk!”

What an answer!  He can actually “think” now.

Arden started eating baby food at 5 months old but she didn’t quite like it so we waited until she was 6 months old. See how much she enjoyed it now.

自從六月洛杉磯之行拜訪了媽咪的高中好友笨丁阿姨之後，寶寶的語言能力就此快速成長。有時他似懂非懂地地把所有可以理解的詞彙拚湊在一起時，實在是叫人啼笑皆非！以下記錄了幾則值得一提的〝笑話〞。

童言一﹕
今天寶寶聽到妹妹放了一個響屁，開始說：〝妹妹 放屁股 咿喲……〞同時把手效在鼻子前面猛搧 (意味著臭臭)。

童言二：
寶寶午睡起來後是他的點心時間，今天打了奇異果汁加牛奶 (看起來有點像攪爛的香蕉)，大概是今天買的奇異果特別酸吧！才吃了一口, 寶寶就說：〝阿姨 今天的香蕉 不好吃 辣辣〞(還不會形容酸酸, 就變成辣辣了！)

童言三：
這幾天寶寶potty train老不乖, 常把便便和尿尿拉在褲子上, 但他其實都懂。今天又來一次了！媽咪問寶寶, 寶寶今天做了什麼壞事呢？〝寶寶壞 大便在尿布上〞大便在尿布上怎麼辦呢？〝被打！〞他很清楚地說著… 唉！@%#$!#

童言四：
每週四是寶寶去圖書館 “play and learn” 的時間，今天媽咪在想事情，開過頭了，大叫一聲，哎呀　媽咪笨笨！寶寶則接著說，〝笨笨媽咪！〞欸！媽咪為什麼笨笨呢？〝走錯了！〞寶寶開心地笑著。
