愛你 (Love You), 都嗶都嗶 (DOBI.. DOBI..) & 寶貝 (Babe)

I stayed at San Ramon Regional Medical Center for 5 days for Arden’s birth. With the nanny’s and Mom’s help, we did not have to bring Anders to the hospital. However, I could not see him for many days either. Kinda missed him.

When I arrived home after being discharged from the hospital, he looked so big to me. His head felt like double the size of how it was when I left home and his leg was like a little piggy’s. Maybe I haven’t seen him for too long. And the most surprising thing is that he was able to say words with two syllables.

Thanks for Daddy’s training, his first two-syllable word was “愛你” (love you in Mandarin). He probably did not understand what that means, but it sounded great to me whenever he was asked to say “媽媽” “愛你” (Love you, Mommy).

And the following days, he made up something on his own – he was saying “都嗶都嗶” (Dobi dobi…) a lot. We finally figured out it was referring to “No” since whenever he did not like something or did not want to do something, he kept saying “都嗶都嗶”, waving his little hands and running away.

3 Weeks later from “愛你,” he now says “寶貝” (Babe), “Turtle,” “One,” “Two,” “O-BA-MA” (though he only said this one time) and so many more words. He changes so much everyday and it is really fun to see him running around and popping out unexpected words and actions. I guess this is the most enjoyable time before the terrible two hits.

It was a little bit dark but the voice was clear.
